Description

Composition:
The aerial part of the scallion plant - Eryngium planum L.
Bioactive substances:
Triterpene saponosides, oses (sucrose, chestose, ferulol), mineral substances.
Action:
Expectorant and fluidifier of bronchial secretions, antispasmodic and bronchial antiseptic, cough suppressant, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, emollient.
Main uses:
Internally: traditionally in the treatment of cough of various etiologies, bronchitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis, asthma, hydro-saline retention (edema), urinary disorders.
Administration method:
Internally: infusion - pour 250 ml of boiling water over a teaspoon of the plant. The dish is covered and left to rest for 10-15 minutes, after which it is strained. Drink 2-3 cups of tea a day, before the main meals.
Contraindicated for women who are breastfeeding.
