Bromhexin Atb belongs to the class of drugs known as preparations for the treatment of cough and cold, expectorants, exclusively in combination with antitussives, mucolytics.

Bromhexin Atb prevents the accumulation of mucus, thinning bronchial secretion and relieving cough.

Composition:

• The active substance is bromhexine hydrochloride
• Each tablet contains bromhexine hydrochloride 8 mg.

How to use:

• Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any doubts
• The usual dose for adults is 1-2 tablets 3 times a day, maximum 6 tablets a day
• For children under 10 years of age it is recommended to use pharmaceutical forms appropriate to their age
• For children over 10 years of age it is ½-1 tablet 3 times a day
• Do not crush or chew the tablets
• Swallow them whole, with a sufficient amount of water
• Do not exceed 8-10 days of treatment without the advice of your doctor.

Contraindications:

Do not use Bromhexin Atb if you are allergic to bromhexine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Pregnancy:

• Since this medicine crosses the placental barrier, the administration of this medicine should be avoided, especially in the first 3 months of pregnancy.

Breast-feeding:

• It is not recommended to take bromhexin during breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines:

• Bromhexin Atb has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
