Mepilex Lite
Thin foam dressing for low-exuding acute and chronic wounds and as skin protection

The Mepilex Lite foam dressing was specially developed for the treatment of low-exuding acute and chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers or fragile skin. The thin foam dressing is soft and conformable, making it easy to apply to areas of the body that are difficult to bandage. It can also be easily cut to the required size.

It features Safetac – the original silicone adhesive contact layer that minimizes pain during dressing changes. The dressing adheres gently to the skin without sticking to the moist wound, allowing for easy removal without damaging the skin. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients. The wound edges are also sealed to protect the skin from damaging leakage and maceration. Clinical trials have shown that Mepilex Lite minimizes skin reactions caused by radiation therapy.

Application areas of Mepilex Lite:
Mepilex Lite is suitable for a variety of low-exuding acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, second-degree burns, and epidermolysis bullosa. You can easily cut Mepilex Lite to the size of a specific wound, as the soft foam is highly conformable. This makes it ideal for wound areas that are difficult to dress, such as in the armpits or under the breasts. You can use it with our Tubifast fixation system.

Application of Mepilex Lite:
Clean the wound according to medical standards and thoroughly dry the surrounding skin. Remove the protective film. Apply the adhesive side to the wound. Do not stretch the dressing. Mepilex Lite should overlap the wound by at least two centimeters. If necessary, additionally secure Mepilex Lite with suitable fixatives, e.g., Tubifast.
