Faringo Intensiv contains flurbiprofen.

Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These medicines work by changing the way your body responds to pain, inflammation and fever.

Faringo Intensiv is used for the short-term relief of throat symptoms such as sore throat, irritation, inflammation and difficulty swallowing, in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

If you do not feel better or feel worse after 3 days, you should contact a doctor.

Composition:

• The active substance is flurbiprofen
• One tablet contains flurbiprofen 8.75 mg.

How to use:

• Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist
• Adults and adolescents over 12 years: one tablet every 3-6 hours, then as needed
• Do not take more than 5 pills in 24 hours
• Take 1 pill and let it dissolve easily in the mouth
• Always move the pill around in the mouth as it dissolves
• Do not give these pills to children under 12 years of age.

Contraindications:

Do not take Faringo Intensiv if you are allergic to flurbiprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:

Before using Faringo Intensiv, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of medicines that can affect fertility in women. This effect is reversible when you stop taking the medicine
• These pills are unlikely to affect your ability to get pregnant when taken occasionally; however, tell your doctor before taking this medicine if you have difficulty getting pregnant
• Do not take this medicine if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy
• If you are in the first 6 months of pregnancy or if you are breast-feeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.

Driving and using machines:

• No studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed
• However, dizziness and visual disturbances are possible side effects after taking NSAIDs
• If you have these conditions, you should not drive or use machines.
