Description

Agrimony ( Agrimoniae herba ) is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for specific indications resulting solely from its long-term use. The preparation is available as an herbal infusion.

Composition

100 g of the product contains: Agrimony herb ( Agrimoniae herba ) – 100 g

Dosage

Oral use (decoction):
Adults and children over 12 years of age should prepare a decoction of ½ to 1 tablespoon of agrimony herb (approximately 1.5–3 g) by pouring half a cup of hot water over it. Then, cover and simmer for 5 minutes, let steep for another 10 minutes, and strain. Drink this fresh, warm decoction twice daily before meals.

External use (on the skin and oral mucosa):
To make mouth rinses or skin compresses, prepare a decoction according to the above recipe, increasing the amount of raw material to 4–5 tablespoons (approx. 20 g) per glass (200–250 ml) of water.

Indications

The product is traditionally used: Orally as an auxiliary agent in mild diarrhea; In the form of decoctions for rinsing, as an astringent in inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat; Externally for compresses in mild superficial inflammations of the skin.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to agrimony herb.

Side effects

In rare cases, allergic skin reactions may occur. If this occurs, discontinue use of agrimony. If any side effects occur, inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings and precautions

If you experience abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, the presence of mucus, pus or blood in your stools, or other worrying symptoms, contact your doctor.

It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age; diarrhea in a child should be treated by a pediatrician.
