Swanson ® P-5-P is a food supplement with a high content of vitamin B6 designed to supplement the daily diet of adults. Each gelatin capsule contains 20 mg of vitamin B6 in the form of pyridoxal-5-phosphate.
What is P-5-P and what functions does it perform?
P-5-P is an abbreviation of the active chemical form of vitamin B6, i.e. pyridoxal -5- phosphate. This compound is called enzymatic vitamin B6 because it serves, among other things, the function of coenzyme.
Vitamin B6:
- is necessary to maintain adequate energy metabolism, as well as protein and glycogen metabolism at the correct level,
- helps the correct synthesis of cysteine and the metabolism of homocysteine,
- helps the proper functioning of the nervous system,
- supports the maintenance of adequate psychological functions,
- supports the proper functioning of the immune system,
- contributes to the correct production of red blood cells,
- it is necessary for the regulation of hormonal activity.
Swanson ® Vitamin B6 20 mg (P-5-P) is only 1 capsule with a high content of vitamin B6 per day to obtain the beneficial effect resulting from the declared action. A pack of 60 will provide two months of daily supplementation.
