What do Strepsils Orange vitamin C pills contain?

Active ingredient : dichlorobenzenemethanol 1.2 mg amyl metacresol 0.6 mg acidum ascorbicum ut natrii ascorbas (ascorbic acid) 100.0 mg Excipients: sirupus simplex (simple syrup), glucosum liquidum (glucose solution), acidum tartaricum (tartaric acid) , orange flavor (aurantia flavor), levomenthol (levomenthol), propylene glycol (propylene glycol), flavum orangeatum (orange yellow) E 110, rubor ponceau 4R (cochineal red) E 124.

How do Strepsils Orange Vitamin C pills work?

Strepsils Orange lozenges with vitamin C contain drugs that have antiseptic effects and destroy bacteria that cause sore throats and inflammation in the oral cavity.

When to use Strepsils Orange pills with vitamin C?

Strepsils Orange lozenges with vitamin C are used for the relief or local treatment of inflammations in the oral cavity and nasopharynx, for inflammations of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity (stomatitis, canker sores, canker sores), for inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) and as a supportive treatment for angina pectoris.

When should Strepsils Orange Vitamin C pills not be used?

Do not use Strepsils Orange pills with vitamin C if you have had an allergic reaction to the medicine or any other component of the medicine in the past. The drug is not intended for children under 5 years of age, as the size of the pill is not suitable for small children. Can Strepsils Orange pills with vitamin C be taken at the same time as other medicines?

How to use Strepsils Orange pills with vitamin C?

Strepsils Orange lozenges with vitamin C are intended for adults and children over 5 years of age. Adults and children from 15 years: every 2-3 hours, let 1 tablet dissolve slowly in the mouth. The maximum dose is 6 pills in a day. Children from 8 to 15 years: take 1 pill 4 times a day. Children from 5 to 7 years: take 1 pill 3 times a day.

How to proceed in case of overdose?

In case of overdose, which is very unlikely due to the nature of the drug, or in case of accidental ingestion of the drug by a child, consult a doctor.

What side effects can occur during treatment?

Pills are usually well tolerated, in rare cases painful manifestations may occur on the tongue. In exceptional cases, hypersensitivity occurs, which can be manifested by skin rash, burning sensation in the mouth, fever, diarrhea. Consult a doctor if side effects occur. Strepsils Orange Vitamin C lozenges contain azo dyes that can cause allergic reactions, including asthma. The allergy occurs more in people who are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid. Patients with diabetes should consult their doctor about the possibility of using Strepsils Orange tablets with vitamin C. If the symptoms of the disease last more than 5 days in adults or more than 3 days in children, or fever occurs, it is necessary to consult a doctor. Medicines are intended for short-term treatment; treatment should not last more than 2-3 weeks (with longer use, the balance of normal oral microflora may be disturbed and there is a risk of overgrowth of pathogenic microorganisms).

How should the pills be stored?

Keep the pills out of the reach and sight of children. Store the tablets at a temperature of up to 25°C.
