Solmucol® contains the active ingredient N-acetylcysteine, which dissolves mucus in the respiratory tract and facilitates coughing.

Mode of use

The granules with a pleasant orange flavor dissolve in water, which is a great benefit for colds and flu conditions, when it is necessary to take the necessary liquids along with the medicine. The contents of a bag should be poured into an empty glass and then filled with water. The effect of food on the speed and intensity of the effect is not reported.

Dosage

Children from 1 to 2 years: 50 mg N-acetylcysteine 3 times a day, i.e. ½ bag of granules 100 mg 3 times a day. Children from 2 to 12 years: 100 mg N-acetylcysteine 3 times a day, i.e. 1 bag of granules 100 mg 3 times a day. Adults and children over 12 years of age: 600 mg of N-acetylcysteine per day. This daily dose can be divided into 3 doses per day or as 1 dose (suitable in the evening), i.e. 1 bag of granules 200 mg 3 times a day or 1 bag of granules 600 mg 1 time a day.
