Paxeladine 0.2% syrup 100 ml

The active substance of the drug is oxeladine, which is an antitussive, a cough medicine. It is a medicine for the treatment of difficult, non-productive cough in adults and children over 30 months.

Dosage and method of use

• Adults: 1 dose of 5 ml every 4 hours as needed, maximum 5 times a day.
• Children from 15 to 20 kg (ie from approximately 30 months to 6 years): 1 dose of 2.5 ml as needed every 4 hours, but a maximum of 3-4 times a day depending on weight.
• Children from 20 to 30 kg (ie from approximately 6 to 10 years): 1 dose of 5 ml every 4 hours as needed, but no more than 2-3 times a day depending on the weight.
• Children from 30 to 50 kg (ie from approximately 10 to 15 years): 1 dose of 5 ml every 4 hours as needed, but maximum 3-5 times a day depending on weight.

Symptomatic treatment should last a short time (a few days) and is limited to the time when the cough is present. If there is no improvement with the recommended dose, do not increase the dose, but it is necessary to contact the doctor.

Mode of use

The syrup is used at the recommended time intervals. The package contains a measuring spoon for 2 types of doses - 2.5 and 5 ml.

• The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding women
• The medicine is not recommended for use in children under 30 months
• The medicine contains sucrose
• With a low-sugar diet or with diabetes, it is necessary to take into account the sugar content of 4.25 g in a 5 ml dose and 2.125 g in a 2.5 ml dose.
• After the first opening, the medicine can be stored for a maximum of 6 months
