Pararemin, 10 tablets, Polisano

Read the leaflet carefully and completely before you start using this medicine, because it contains important information for you.
Always use this medicine as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

• Pararemin is a drug from the pharmacotherapeutic group: antipyretic analgesics, anilides (including combinations).
• Pararemin contains paracetamol and propyphenazone, both of which have analgesic, antipyretic properties, and caffeine, in small quantities, with the role of potentiating the therapeutic effect of the medicine.

The main effects of the active substances:

• paracetamol: non-selective cyclooxygenase inhibitor by central mechanism;
• propyphenazone: non-selective cyclooxygenase inhibitor;
• caffeine: competitive antagonist at the A1 and A2 type adenosine receptors; inhibitor of the enzyme 3,5-AMPc phosphodiesterase.

Active ingredients:
Each tablet contains paracetamol 250 mg, propyphenazone 150 mg, caffeine 50 mg.

Therapeutic indications:
PARAREMIN is indicated for adults, adolescents and children over 12 years of age for:

• symptomatic treatment of mild and medium pains with different localizations, such as headache, dental algae, dysmenorrhea, rheumatic pain.
• treatment of pain and fever associated with colds and flu.

Administration method:
Adults (including the elderly), adolescents and children over 16 years of age:

• The recommended dose is 1-2 Pararemin tablets once. If necessary, the dose can be repeated 3 times in 24 hours.
• The maximum daily dose is 6 tablets.

Children aged between 12 and 16 years:

• The recommended dose is 1 Pararemin tablet once.
• If necessary, the dose can be repeated 3 times in 24 hours.

Children under the age of 12:

• It is contraindicated to administer the medicine to children under 12 years of age.
• Pararemin is administered orally.
• The tablet is administered with a sufficient amount of liquid (approximately 200 ml in an adult, if possible).

Warnings and precautions:

• Concomitant administration of other medicines containing paracetamol should be avoided.
• In patients with a history of digestive disorders (gastro-intestinal disorders, ulcer, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease) or hematological (coagulopathy, hematological disorders), the drug should be administered with caution and under close supervision.
• In case of gastrointestinal bleeding, treatment must be discontinued.
• In patients with a history of high blood pressure and/or mild to moderate congestive heart failure, caution (discussions with their doctor and pharmacist) is necessary before starting treatment, as reports have shown that treatment with NSAIDs is associated with fluid retention and edema.

Particular attention is required when administering the medicine in the following situations:

• alcoholism and liver diseases, including viral hepatitis (increases the risk of hepatotoxicity). It is necessary to monitor liver functions in the case of long-term treatment and with high doses in patients with pre-existing liver damage.
• Gilbert's syndrome (benign transient jaundice secondary to glucuronyl-transferase deficiency).
• disorders of hematopoiesis.

In these cases, the doses are adjusted and/or the time interval between administrations is increased.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to paracetamol, propyphenazone, other pyrazolones or pyrazolidinediones, caffeine or any of the excipients.
• Hypersensitivity to other NSAIDs, acetylsalicylic acid (including asthma attack, urticaria or acute rhinitis),
• Active gastro-duodenal ulcer,
• Severe liver or kidney failure,
• Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency,
• Severe heart failure,
• The last trimester of pregnancy (after the 6th month), breastfeeding
• Children under 12 years of age.
