Paracetamol Farmina 500 mg is a medicine in the form of suppositories for children and adults with analgesic and antipyretic properties. The medicine is intended for use in:

pain and fever of various origins,
symptomatic treatment of flu-like conditions and colds

Suppositories with paracetamol 500 mg - how do they work?

Each suppository contains 500 mg of active substance - paracetamol. It is assumed that the mechanism of action of paracetamol is based on the inhibition of the activity of a specific isoenzyme - cyclooxygenase of arachidonic acid (COX-3). This prevents the formation of prostaglandins in the CNS - as a result, the pain threshold is increased. The antipyretic effect is caused by a reduction in the concentration of prostaglandins in the hypothalamus.

The Paracetamol Farmina 500 mg package contains 10 rectal suppositories. In case of vomiting, the shape of the suppositories allows the best way to administer the medicine.
