Description
It is intended for adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over for the local symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation in soft tissue injuries, such as post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints caused by e.g. sprains, dislocations and contusions (sports-related injuries).
After consultation with a doctor, it can also be used in adults for localized forms of soft tissue rheumatism (eg tennis elbow, bursitis and periarthropathy) and degenerative rheumatism (eg osteoarthritis of peripheral joints and knees) and back pain.
Doses and dosing schedules:
- Adults and teenagers from 14 years
- Apply to the affected area twice a day (preferably morning and evening)
- Provides pain relief for up to 12 hours
- The amount of gel required depends on the size of the painful area, 2-4g (an amount the size of a cherry to a walnut) of gel is enough to treat an area of approximately 400-800cm²
- The maximum daily dose is 8 g of gel
Duration of treatment:
- The duration of treatment depends on the indication and the patient's response to treatment
- If symptoms worsen or do not improve within 7 days, the patient should consult a doctor
- Adult patients should not use the gel without a doctor's recommendation for more than 2 weeks
- For adolescents aged 14 to 18 years, it is recommended that patients or their parents consult a doctor if the preparation must be taken for more than 7 days
- In painful arthrosis and localized forms of soft tissue rheumatism (adults), the doctor decides the duration of treatment
How to use:
- The gel is applied in a thin layer to the affected parts of the body and gently rubbed into the skin
- The gel should only be applied to healthy (no inflammation, no infection, no eczema) and intact skin (no open wounds or lesions), it should not come into contact with the conjunctiva or mucous membranes.
- The gel can be used with a non-occlusive dressing, but should not be used with a tight, occlusive dressing.
- Before using the bandage, the gel should be left on the skin for a few minutes to be absorbed
- Hands should be washed after application, unless they are the treated area
Notice:
- In the third trimester of pregnancy, the drug is contraindicated
- During the first and second trimester of pregnancy, the drug should be used only on the recommendation of the doctor
- If a woman is trying to get pregnant or is in the first or second trimester of pregnancy, the dose of the drug should be as low as possible and the duration of treatment as short as possible.
- In nursing mothers, the drug can be used only after consulting a doctor (it should not be applied to the breast of a nursing mother or on large areas of the skin or for a long period of time)
- There is insufficient data on the efficacy and safety of the drug in children and adolescents under 14 years of age
- The contact of children with the skin areas on which the gel has been applied should be avoided
- If a rash appears on the skin after applying the drug, the treatment should be stopped
- The medicine contains butylhydroxytoluene, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis) or irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.
- The medicine contains fragrances containing benzyl alcohol (0.15 mg/g), citral, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, d-limonene and linalool, which may cause allergic reactions, benzyl alcohol and local irritation.
