Maxigra ® Go is a drug in the form of film-coated tablets, intended for use in men in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. The active substance of the medicinal preparation is sildenafil. Each tablet contains 25 mg of a substance belonging to the group of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.
Impotence or erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve or maintain a penile erection sufficient for sexual intercourse. It is a type of sexual dysfunction that occurs in adult men despite sexual arousal. Short-term erectile dysfunction is normal and should not be confused with impotence, which is most often related to poor blood flow. This situation means that the penis cannot achieve a full and lasting erection.
How does the sildenafil in Maxigra ® Go tablets work?
Sildenafil is an enzyme found in the corpora cavernosa of the penis and in the pulmonary circulation. As a result of sexual stimulation, nitric oxide is released into the corpus cavernosum of the penis, which activates subsequent enzymes, increasing the concentration of substances that result in relaxation of the smooth muscles in the corpus cavernosum and allowing blood to flow into the penis. As a result, a series of reactions that occur in the body after taking the drug with sildenafil result in an erection of the penis.
