Loprid, 2 mg, 10 tablets, Helcor
Indications:
Loprid contains loperamide hydrochloride, which belongs to a group of medicines called peristalsis inhibitors, antipropulsives. Loprid is used to treat a sudden (acute) episode of diarrhoea.
In case of diarrhea, Loprid makes the stools more consistent and less frequent.
Contraindications :
Do not use Loprid:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to loperamide hydrochloride or to any of the other components of Loprid.
Precautions:
Before using Loprid, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
If you are pregnant or think you are pregnant, you must inform your doctor, who will decide if you can use Loprid.
It is recommended not to use Loprid if you are breast-feeding, as small amounts of Loprid are excreted in your milk.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
Fatigue, dizziness or drowsiness may accompany diarrhea. Therefore, it is recommended to be cautious when driving vehicles and using machines.
Administration method:
Always use Loprid as recommended in this leaflet. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Doses and method of administration:
The dose of Loprid you should use depends on your age.
You can use Loprid at any time during the day.
The tablets must be swallowed with a quantity of liquid.
Grown ups :
For the sudden (acute) episode, take 2 Loprid tablets once, then one Loprid tablet after each stool. If you have a solid or hard stool or if 24 hours pass without a stool, stop the treatment.
But: Do not take more than 8 Loprid tablets within 24 hours!
Adolescents over 12 years of age:
For the sudden (acute) episode of diarrhoea, take one Loprid tablet, then continue with one Loprid tablet for each stool passed. If the child has a solid or hard stool or if 24 hours pass without a stool, stop the treatment.
But: never give more than the recommended dose per day and per kilogram of your child's body weight!

If the stools become normal or if no stool has been passed for 12 hours, stop taking Loprid. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Administration method
The content of Neuromultivit solution is injected into the gluteal muscle (buttocks), usually by medical personnel.

Composition:
- The active substance is loperamide hydrochloride. One tablet contains loperamide hydrochloride 2 mg.
- The other components are: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, povidone K 30, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide.
