Description
Innofer Baby oral suspension is a preparation indicated for dietary management to prevent iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia (anemia).
Innofer Baby contains elemental iron, which is an optimal source of iron:
- has GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) safety status granted by the US Department of Health, which means that, based on numerous studies, the substance has been generally recognized as safe;
- according to studies carried out on infants and children, it does not produce side effects such as constipation, diarrhea or abdominal pain;
- it does not oxidize in the mouth, so it does not stain the teeth and does not have a metallic taste;
- it has a zero oxidation state and is oxidized in the stomach under the action of hydrochloric acid to easily digestible divalent ions; the transformation to the ionic form extends over time and is gentle, without causing the formation of excess ions that irritate the mucous membrane;
- it has a very high bioavailability of 69%, which, combined with dosing precision, guarantees that it will be absorbed and will not result in the formation of a dangerous excess of free ions;
- it is characterized by a very high content (exceeding 98%) of iron.
The package includes a dosing syringe with a precise scale, which facilitates oral administration of the appropriate dose of iron.
