Ibuvit D3 Kids 15,000 IU/ml is a medicine, not a food supplement, which contains the active substance - cholecalciferol in a dose of 15,000 IU per 1 ml. The oral solution in a convenient drop form can be used to prevent vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency, for example rickets, as well as to prevent vitamin D deficiency in women planning pregnancy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

When is it worth taking vitamin D medication?

The prophylactic intake of vitamin D is important in the months of insufficient exposure to sunlight, from October to April, or throughout the year if efficient skin synthesis of vitamin D is not ensured in the summer months.

In Poland, sufficient exposure to sunlight is possible only from May to September, provided you stay in the sun between 10:00 and 15:00, with forearms and legs uncovered, without using UV filter creams, at least. :

15-30 minutes for children aged between 4-10 years,
30-45 minutes for teenagers and adults.

In newborns, infants and children up to 4 years of age, due to age-related restrictions on sun exposure, vitamin D is recommended year-round*.

Vitamin D3 is found in some foods and is also produced in the body when the skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of calcium from the intestines and reduces its excretion by the kidneys, which helps in bone formation, maintaining proper muscle tone, nerve stimulation and blood clotting. Vitamin D3 deficiency is the cause, among other things, of rickets (disturbed bone mineralization in children). Vitamin D3 also plays an essential role in the absorption of phosphates from the intestines, the transport of mineral salts and participates in the proper functioning of the immune system.

Ibuvit D3 Kids 15000 IU/ml drops can be administered to prevent vitamin D deficiency in infants from birth, older children and adults, including pregnant women. Packaging with dosing pump facilitates accurate dosing according to the age group.
