Dosage and dosage regimens
The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest time necessary to relieve symptoms. Take 1-2 tablets no more than 3 times a day. The interval between doses should be at least 6 hours. No more than 6 tablets (3,000 mg paracetamol, 1,200 mg ibuprofen) should be taken in 24 hours.
In patients with renal insufficiency, the dose should be reduced:
- glomerular filtration rate 10 - 50 ml/min: 1 tablet every 6 hours
- glomerular filtration rate < 10 ml/min: 1 tablet every 8 hours
In patients with liver failure or Gilbert's syndrome, the dose should be reduced or the administration interval should be extended.
If symptoms persist or worsen, or if this medication must be taken for more than 3 days, the patient should consult a physician.
Mode of use
The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Administration with food is recommended to minimize side effects.
Notice:
- Use of this medicine may affect female fertility and is therefore not recommended for women planning to become pregnant. The phenomenon is reversible after the end of the treatment.
- If possible, the use of this drug should be avoided in the first 6 months of pregnancy and use is contraindicated in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
- In the case of short-term treatment in the recommended doses, it is usually not necessary to interrupt breastfeeding.
- The drug is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic and/or renal insufficiency.
- The medicine is not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
- Very rarely, photosensitivity may occur.
- Use of this medication should be discontinued at the first appearance of a skin rash, mucosal lesions, or any other signs of hypersensitivity.
- After long-term treatment (> 3 months) with analgesics used every other day or more frequently, headache may develop or worsen. Then, the administration of analgesics should be stopped after consulting the doctor.
- It is necessary to avoid drinking alcohol during treatment.
- If side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue and visual disturbances occur, patients should not drive or operate machinery.
