Fluimucil contains N-acetylcysteine ​​as an active principle. It liquefies and dissolves dense secretions from the respiratory tract and promotes their elimination. Fluimucil is indicated in the treatment of all respiratory conditions which, following an excessive mucus production and subsequent solidification, lead to the formation of dense secretions that are eliminated with difficulty or not at all.

It is the case for all forms of respiratory infections (including flu) associated with cough and catarrh, acute and chronic bronchitis, sinusitis, angina, pharyngitis, bronchial asthma and cystic fibrosis (cystic fibrosis).

Contraindications:

Fluimucil should not be used in case of gastric ulcers or in case of hypersensitivity to N-acetylcysteine.

Precautions:

Effervescent tablets are not indicated for hypertensives, because each tablet corresponds to approximately 350 mg of table salt. In these cases Fluimucil granules can be administered. Some antibiotics should not be administered simultaneously with Fluimucil, but after 2 hours after its administration. The doctor's opinion will be requested for each individual case. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you suffer from another disease, if you are prone to allergies or if you are currently using other medicines. In case of pregnancy or breastfeeding Fluimucil will be used only in absolutely necessary situations.

Dosage:

In case of acute diseases, the dosage is as follows:

• children up to 2 years: 3 times a day, 1/2 packet of 100 mg;
• children from 2 to 12 years: 3 times a day, 1 packet of 100 mg;
• children after the age of 12 and adults: 600 mg per day, in a single dose (preferably in the evening) or several doses (eg 3 times a day 200 mg each).

Long-term treatment:

• 400 mg per day, in 2 doses, the duration of treatment being limited to no more than 3-6 months.

Cystic Fibrosis:

• Identical dosage, except for children older than 6 years who will be given 1 pack, i.e. one 200 mg tablet three times a day or one 600 mg effervescent tablet once a day.

The duration of the treatment will be determined by the doctor.

Dissolve the effervescent tablet or packet in a glass of warm or cold water and drink immediately.

Do not dissolve other medicines in the same glass as Fluimucil.

The slight smell of sulfur when opening the packet or blister is normal for N-acetylcysteine ​​and has no influence on its effectiveness. The dose indicated in the leaflet or prescribed by the doctor will be followed exactly.

Side effects:

Occasionally, Fluimucil can produce gastrointestinal disturbances, hives, headache, fever. These symptoms are transient and do not require treatment. In allergy-prone patients, skin or respiratory reactions may occur.

Composition:

One effervescent tablet contains: 600 mg of acetylcysteine, aspartame and flavors.

A packet of granules contains 100 or 200 mg of N-acetylcysteine, aspartame and flavors.

Form of presentation:

10 effervescent tablets of 600 mg. 30 packets of 100 mg granules. 30 packets of 200 mg granules.
