Description
Phenylbutazone, 40 g, Antibiotice SA

Indications:
Phenylbutazone belongs to the class of drugs known as topical drugs
for joint and muscle pain, topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Phenylbutazone Atb is used to relieve pain, inflammation and edema in acute gout,
rheumatoid arthritis, synovitis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
Composition:
- The active substance is phenylbutazone. One gram of cream contains 40 mg of phenylbutazone.
- The other components are: camphor, menthol, cetostearyl alcohol emulsifier type A, polysorbate 80, glycerol, white petrolatum, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 218), n-propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 216), purified water.
Administration method:
Do not use Phenylbutazone Atb
- if you are allergic to phenylbutazone, to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or to any of the other components of this medicine (listed in point 6);
- if you are pregnant in the last trimester.
Contraindications:
Piroxicam cream is contraindicated in the following cases:
- hypersensitivity to piroxicam, acetylsalicylic acid, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or to any of the excipients of the product;
- skin lesions such as suppurative dermatitis, eczema, infected lesions, burns, wounds;
- children under 15 years old.
Precautions:
If you notice the occurrence of any allergic reactions during treatment with phenylbutazone, stop using this medicine and stop using phenylbutazone or other pyrazolone derivatives;
If you notice a skin rash, stop using this medicine.
Use phenylbutazone with caution if:
- suffer from bronchial asthma or other allergies. In case of a hypersensitivity reaction, the treatment will be interrupted;
- suffer from gastrointestinal diseases;
- suffer from serious diseases of the heart, liver, kidneys;
- you have systemic lupus erythematosus;
- you have high blood pressure, G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate-dehydrogenase) deficiency, dysfunctions related to blood coagulation, thyroid dysfunction, a condition known as porphyria.
Use phenylbutazone with caution in the elderly, children, and chronic alcohol users.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
It is not recommended to use this medicine in the first two trimesters of pregnancy and it is contraindicated in the third trimester.
Do not use phenylbutazone while breastfeeding. Do not apply phenylbutazone to the breasts.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
The systemic diffusion of phenylbutazone after dermal administration has not been evaluated. Systemically administered phenylbutazone can cause side effects such as blurred vision or dizziness. By extrapolation, use this medicine with caution if you drive or operate machinery.
