Clove oil /Eugenia Caryophyllus Bud Oil/
Natural clove oil obtained from the flower buds of an evergreen clove tree, up to 20 m tall. The clove tree is grown mainly on the islands of Zanzibar, Pemba and Madagascar. The main active ingredient of clove oil is eugenol, which has a strong bactericidal and anesthetic effect, which is why it is often used in the pharmaceutical industry. Used in the treatment of rheumatism and upper respiratory tract infections. It stimulates and enlightens the mind. Formerly used as an aphrodisiac. Due to its characteristic aroma and composition, natural clove oil can be used as a natural repellent, i.e. a repellent for insects, especially black flies.
