Essentiale Forte contains essential phospholipids extracted from soybean seeds.

This medicine is indicated for adults, adolescents and children over 12 years of age, to relieve symptoms such as lack of appetite and the feeling of pressure in the right part of the upper abdomen, caused by damage to the liver by harmful substances or malnutrition (toxic-nutritional damage of the liver) and in chronic inflammation of the liver (hepatitis).

Composition:

• Active substance: essential phospholipids extracted from soybean seeds, containing 76% (3-sn-phosphatidyl) choline (extractant: ethanol 96% (v/v)), 300 mg
• The other components are: solid fat (Witepsol W35), refined soybean oil, DL-α-tocopherol, hydrogenated castor oil, solid fat (Witepsol S55), ethanol 96%, ethylvanillin, 4-methoxyacetophenone, gelatin, purified water, dioxide of titanium (E171), yellow iron oxide (E172), black iron oxide (E172), red iron oxide (E172), sodium lauryl sulfate.

How to use:

• Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure
• Children over 12 years of age (approximately 43 kg)/Adolescents and adults 2 capsules (600 mg phospholipids from soybean seeds): 2 capsules 3 times a day (1800 mg phospholipids from soybean seeds)
• Essentiale Forte capsules are swallowed whole, during a meal, with a sufficient amount of liquid (preferably with a glass of water, 200 ml)
• If you have any further questions about this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

Contraindications:

Do not take Essentiale Forte: if you are allergic to soybean preparations or any of the other components of this medicine.

Precautions:

Before taking Essentiale Forte, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• Soybean preparations are widely used in human nutrition and so far there are no indications to suggest any risk in case of use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Since the data from clinical studies are insufficient, it is not recommended to use Essentiale Forte during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and using machines:

• This medicine does not influence the ability to drive vehicles or use machines.
