What is Cordyceps?

Chinese cordyceps or Chinese cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis) is a species of parasitic mushroom. Unlike other beneficial Asian mushrooms, it does not grow on trees, but occurs in the soil. Its main source of food is the moth larvae found there, which cordyceps first attacks, occupies and kills, and then extracts from them the nutrients necessary for development.

The natural habitat of cordyceps is the high mountains of Nepal and Tibet. The harsh climatic conditions and a clean environment make this mushroom rich in substances beneficial to the body, and its use in Asian traditional medicine systems dates back hundreds of years.

The main active ingredients believed to have health-promoting properties of this mushroom are cordyceps acid, adenosine, and cordycepin. Moreover, like other medicinal mushrooms, cordyceps also contains polysaccharides.

What makes our extract unique? / Quadruple standardization of the extract

When planning to supplement with cordyceps, it is worth paying special attention to the type of standardization of the extract, that is, according to which ingredient its strength is determined. Even though many products are based on highly standardized extracts, they usually only refer to the polysaccharide content. However, there is no information on the content of active ingredients specific to the mushroom species, such as cordyceps acid, cordycepin and adenosine, which constitute the essence of Cordyceps sinensis and give it unique, health-promoting properties.

Alines Cordyceps 400 mg is based on high-quality, quadruple standardized extract from the fruiting bodies of the Cordyceps sinensis mushroom, which guarantees the content of active ingredients at least at the level of:

• 40% polysaccharides.
• 7% cordyceps acid
• 0.2% adenosine
• 0.1% cordycepin

Quadruple standardization guarantees the presence of up to four active ingredients and ensures a better effect of the extract.

Ingredients: standardized extract from cordyceps fruiting bodies (Cordyceps sinensis), capsule shell: (binding substance: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose).

It does not contain ingredients of animal origin, which makes it a suitable product for vegans. The product does not contain artificial technological additives, preservatives or colorings.
