Combogesic, 500mg/150mg, 16 film-coated tablets, Medochemie
Indications:
Combogesic contains paracetamol and ibuprofen.
Paracetamol works by stopping pain signals from reaching the brain. It also works to reduce fever.
Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (or NSAIDs). It relieves pain and reduces inflammation (swelling, redness or pain).
Combogesic is used for temporary relief of pain associated with:
- Headache
- Menstrual pains
- Migraine
- Back pain
- Toothache
- Muscle pain
- Cold and flu symptoms
- Sore throat
- Fever
Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about this medicine.
You should talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel sick after 3 days.
Contraindications:
Do not use Combogesic:
- If you are allergic to the active substance(s) or to any of the other components of this medicine.
Precautions:
Before using Combogesic, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Do not use this medicine during the last three months of pregnancy. Take special care if you are in the first 6 months of pregnancy.
This medicine may affect female fertility and is not recommended for women planning to become pregnant.
You should use the lowest possible dose that helps reduce pain and/or fever and for as short a time as possible. Contact your doctor if your pain and/or fever does not go down or if you need to take the medicine more often.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
Be careful when driving or using machines until you know how Combogesic affects you.
Administration method:
Always use Combogesic exactly as your doctor has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Do not use for more than 3 days.
You should use the lowest dose necessary to relieve symptoms and for the shortest period of time. If you have an infection, see a doctor immediately if symptoms (such as fever and pain) do not go away or get worse (see point 2).
Recommended dose:
Adults: The usual dose is one or two tablets taken every six hours as needed, up to a maximum of six tablets in 24 hours.
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed to relieve symptoms.
The patient should consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen or if the drug is needed for more than 3 days.
Do not use more than 6 film-coated tablets in a 24-hour period.
If your doctor prescribes a different dose, follow the instructions given by your doctor.
Take Combogesic film-coated tablets with a glass of water. The median line has only the role of facilitating the breaking of the tablet to be easily swallowed and not of dividing into equal doses.
Use in adolescents and children under 18 years of age:
Combogesic is not recommended for children under 18 years of age

Composition:
- The active substances are paracetamol and ibuprofen.
- The other ingredients are: maize starch, pregelatinised maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, talc and Opadry white (containing: hypromellose (E464), lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 4000 and citrate sodium dihydrate (E331)).
