Description
Ibesan butyrate is a food for special medical purposes in the form of capsules. The active substance is sodium butyrate. The product is intended for the dietary management of intestinal diseases and disorders:
- functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract: abdominal pain and bloating, diarrhea, constipation, functional dyspepsia;
- irritable bowel syndrome (IBS);
- intestinal flora disturbances after antibiotic therapy;
- diverticular disease of the large intestine;
- conditions after diagnosis and surgical procedures in the gastrointestinal tract.
Butyric acid - properties
Chemically, butyric acid is one of the short-chain fatty acids. It is a substance found naturally in the intestines, produced by the bacteria that live in the colon. It is also supplied with food in small quantities.
Ibesan butyrate is a product intended for children over 7 years old and adults. It is nutritionally incomplete. It is not suitable for use as a sole food source.
