Green clay is extracted from volcanic soil in the Auvergne region of France and contains rich mineral sediments, which were deposited during the Tertiary period, 65,000 to 2.6 million years ago. It is naturally composed of three different clays, with complementary properties and benefits. Its purity gives it great absorption capacity, having an extremely low moisture content, between 4% and 11%.
Ingredients:
montmorillonite, illite, quartz, kaolin
Way of ussage:
- for facial masks, green clay is mixed with a little water until a homogeneous paste is obtained and applied to freshly cleansed skin.
Let it act for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with warm water. The same procedure can be used for body wraps.
Green clay is often used in cream mixtures or in the manufacture of natural soaps.
