Dressing Sorbalgon Classic 10x10 cm, 10 pieces, Hartmann
Sorbalgon is a calcium alginate fiber dressing. Upon contact with the sodium salts from the exudate of the wound (wounds), the alginate fibers turn into gel, maintaining a moist environment at its level.
Due to the chemical and physical properties of alginate fibers, the dressing has a high absorption capacity, especially adapted for the treatment of wounds with a moderate to abundant volume of exudate.
Benefits:
- The material adapts perfectly to the contour of the wound, preventing it from drying out.
- Sorbalgon is indicated for all types of wounds with moderate to abundant secretion or for bleeding wounds.
Use:
- Clean the wound according to standard medical practice. Apply the dressing to the wound, securing with an appropriate secondary dressing
- In the case of wounds without secretions (dry wounds), Sorbalgon can be moistened with Ringer's solution
- Depending on the volume of exudate, Sorbalgon can be kept on the wound for a longer period (up to several days)
- The dressing must be changed once the alginate fibers have completely transformed into gel. The traces of alginate fibers left in the wound cavity are easily removed by washing with Ringer's solution and/or are decomposed by the body biologically.
